Dream of Wild Health The Market Coordinator is responsible for staffing farmers markets and coordinating delivery activities to ensure accurate and timely off-site distribution and sales of Dream of W... ild Health (DWH) produce and value-added products; and delivering the Indigenous Food Share, wholesale and donation efforts. This individual will work with community members, partners and the DWH team to support efforts across multiple programs, meeting several grant objectives, maintaining expenses according to budget, evaluation of program activities, and may support grant reporting efforts.
Schedule: -Tuesdays & Thursdays: attend farmers markets and deliver produce to Indigenous Food Share members and community partners. -Wednesdays & Fridays: work with the farm team to grow healthy Indigenous foods and leaders, engaging with youth and volunteers at the farm.
This is a seasonal, .8 full time position at 32 hours per week from April through November 2021. Compensation is $15 per hour. Employee benefits include: produce from farm, paid holidays, and accrual of PTO.
About Dream of Wild Health: The mission of DWH is to restore health and well-being in the Native community by recovering knowledge of and access to healthy Indigenous foods, medicines and lifeways. DWH owns and operates a 30-acre farm in Hugo, MN. As one of the only Native American-led farms in the Twin Cities, DWH fulfills a unique role in the Native American and local agricultural communities. DWH distributes produce into the Twin Cities Native American community through our youth programs, Indigenous Food Share CSA, farmers markets, wholesale accounts with Indigenous chefs, and food donations to Indigenous Food Network and other community partners.
