Climate Resilience Manager

In collaboration ... with the Impact Director, the Climate Resilience Manager will lead land, water, and food stewardship and climate resilience at GWSC.
Environmental Stewardship and Climate Resilience (65% of work): - Grow Food: urban garden- focus on poundage increases, culturally relevant crops, year-round and vertical growing - Beautification: to increasingly beautify parks, streetscapes, trails, and other urban spaces - Climate Resilience: addressing heat islands and stormwater through nature-based solutions - Develop plans for management and maintenance; and the associated trainings for workforce and program teams - Site expansion: identify current site improvements and potential new sites; develop plans and feasibility studies - Foster and maintain stewardship cross-sector partner relationships to maintain existing and secure new sites - Attain and maintain all needed certifications such as Green Infrastructure and Arborist certifications
Groundwork Southcoast Coordination (35%): - Organize and maintain physical assets: currently office and van- organization, inventory, and cleanliness management - Provide technical support for grant writing and reporting as required - Attend all required meetings, foster team coordination, and complete all daily tracking such as CRM, timesheets, etc. - Be a part of growing our organization including being willing to do other duties as needed - Ensure all staff, youth, community, and allies understand how to access and steward our spaces

We do so by focusing on developing environmental justice resident leadership through youth and adults: Workf... orce Development, Stewardship, and Engagement. The Green Corps is a new team focused on high-quality stewardship outcomes in Fall River and New Bedford. We are seeking a Coordinator to lead this team who is over 21, has had a drivers’ license for at least 6 mo. a clean driving record, CORI, and SORI and has previous experience leading others in hands-on environmental and climate stewardship with a focus on tree and invasive species identification and maintenance. The Green Corps will be GWSC’s lead team on installing and maintaining all of our stewardship sites, year-round in all safe weather conditions including rain, snow, cold, and heat.

We are seeking a dynamic Associate Director of Workforce Development to spearhead the planning, piloting, and scaling of our workforce development program aimed at deepening the expertise and expanding the skillsets of our Customer Action Team members, preparing them to become energy auditors. This role is critical to achieving our goal of building an inclusive workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve and is better equipped to deliver equitable service there. The Associate Director will develop strategic partnerships, manage training programs, and ensure the successful transition of program participants into energy specialist roles. This is initially a one-year position with the intention of elevation to a Director level position once the model is proven. The position will be based in our new Lawrence, Massachusetts office
