Director, Small Business Center
Durham Tech Community College The Director, Small Business Center will perform a variety of duties and responsibilities for managing and administering all aspects of the Small Business Center programs; serving the needs for all stages of small businesses in Durham and Orange counties through education, training, counseling, and technical assistance activities. The Director serves as the liaison between the College and our economic development partners for supporting the training needs of small businesses (e.g., entrepreneurial and business ownership counseling, training and technical assistance). The Director develops strategic action plans and services that facilitate new business creation, business expansion, and business stabilization along with job creation and retention.
Server & Network Administrator
Durham Tech Community College The Server & Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the availability, maintenance and security of the College’s virtual server infrastructure and network. Major areas of concern are system security, backups, system documentation, user access, software installation for systems, applications, patches, updates and a cohesive disaster recovery plan.

Safety Compliance Officer
Durham Tech Community College The Safety Compliance Officer performs work coordinating environmental and occupational health and safety for Durham Tech Community College. The Compliance Officer is responsible for determining and evaluating potential facility-related health and safety threats or hazards for all employees, students, and visitors. The Compliance Officer is also responsible for analyzing facilities and ensuring that all necessary health and safety precautions have been identified. Compliance Officer investigates accidents/incidents to determine abatements for preventing incidents. The officer investigates “near misses” to determine methods to prevent accidents/incidents. Strong independent judgment and initiative to perform and complete the necessary functions.
Infrastructure Support Specialist
Durham Tech Community College The IT Infrastructure and Support Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, upkeep and usability of all designated technology on campus. The specialist will be customer service oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems for end users. The specialist will install application and network software and make sure it interfaces properly with the hardware. The specialist will troubleshoot, debug, test, repair or have repaired all designated technology that is in need of correction.
Durham Tech Community College The Coordinator, Institutional Research is responsible for annual and monthly data reporting internally and externally to the College. The Coordinator reports institutional data on behalf of the College to governmental agencies (IPEDS, NCCCS), accreditation bodies, and other external constituents; collects, analyzes, interprets, and reports data and information for internal and external ad hoc and reoccurring requests. In general, this work includes data extraction from multiple sources, including the college’s student information system (Colleague); compiling and organizing data, and submitting data for reporting purposes.
