We are looking for a candidate interested in advancing Machine Learning approaches to identify signatures and drivers of extreme events in climate and society.

Economic inequality and political dynamics – The last decade has shown an alarming decline in democracy across the western world, including some of the most consolidated democracies. We are looking for a candidate interested in advancing analysis and modelling of large-scale economics and political science data with the aim of shedding light on the interactions and causal relations between political and economic indicators.

We seek candidates with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: physics / statistics / machine learning / complex systems.
