Seasonal Stewardship Technician
Yamhill Soil & Water Conservation District
Are you interested in joining Yamhill Soil & Water Conservation District? The primary responsibilities of the Seasonal Stewardship Technician are to help complete maintenance, stewardship tasks, and restoration projects on District properties. The Seasonal Stewardship Technician contributes to stewardship of District properties through control of invasive weeds, operation of mowers, trimmers, etc. and other manual field work as assigned.

Forestry and Uplands Coordinator

The preferred candidate will have an understanding of sustainable forestry practices, strong interpersonal skills, and interest and capability in growing a forestry program to meet a diversity of needs for private landowners.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.

* Coordinates and/or participates in restoration project planning, working with agency partners and private landowners in the Klamath county community
* Plans and/or participates in collaborative meetings, information sharing, and group learning activities with agency partners
* Conducts field visits with landowners to provide technical support, understand needs, and plan projects
* Develops and implements projects from start to finish, including planning, grant writing, contracting, project management, reporting, and monitoring; Project types will cover various disciplines related to juniper management, forest fire recovery, defensible space, weed management, forest health, and other conservation and sustainability on-farm practices
* Supports the coordination of regional partnerships and collaborations related to restoration in priority sub-watersheds
* Coordinates with KWP Project Manager and bookkeeper to plan and track program and project accounting, including but not limited to budget development, submission of invoices, requests for reimbursement from
grantors, and financial reporting for grants.

Forest Conservation Technician
Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District
This is a full-time, 3-year term, at-will position serving the citizens of Jackson County as a staff member of the Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District (JSWCD). The Technician will assist JSWCD’s upland forest restoration program with project planning, implementation, and evaluation to address forest health and water quality concerns, including post-fire restoration, hazardous fuels reduction, and tree pests and disease. Other duties include providing technical assistance to residents, assisting with outreach and enrollment of residents in forest restoration programs, and inventory and reporting to
help meet the goals and deliverables for funded restoration initiatives.
