Evaluation of involvement of people with cerebral palsy in CP-Achieve research

Part-time scholarship (domestic students only) to evaluate the processes, authenticity and impact of involving adolescents and young adults with cerebral palsy and their families as research partners and team members in the research activities of CP-Achieve. These stakeholders are involved in advisory groups, as researchers and on working groups to inform the methods, implementation and outcomes of research with the aim of enhancing the rigour and translation of research.
The applicant will join a vibrant and active multidisciplinary team of PhD and post-doctoral researchers, committed to advancing a range of research activities aligned with CP-Achieve.

Building supportive environments for adolescents and young adults with cerebral palsy
CP-Achieve: Murdoch Children's Research Institute
This research aims to investigate factors that may impact the transition to adulthood and identify modifiable barriers and facilitators to goal achievement for young people with cerebral palsy. Part of this program will involve developing and testing educational lifestyle modules that may assist young people with cerebral palsy maximise their participation in life activities. We anticipate recruiting two high-quality allied health, nursing, psychology or medical professionals into these PhD positions. Lived experience or professional experience of disability is desirable.
The applicant will join a vibrant and active multidisciplinary team of PhD and post-doctoral researchers, committed to advancing a range of research activities aligned with CP-Achieve.

Consultant Physician in Rehabilitation Medicine - Young Adults with Complex Disability Clinic and Intrathecal Baclofen Service - St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne

The HIP Rehabilitation Physician (YACDC/ITB) will provide medical leadership in the delivery of high
quality therapy services to the highly complex neurological clients from the Young Adult Complex Disability Clinic (YACDC). They will work within a flexible, interdisciplinary structure, that ensures client’s
needs are met and they receive ‘the right treatment in the right place at the right time’.
The HIP Rehabilitation Physician will share responsibilities with other HIP rehabilitation physicians in the specialty clinics, YACDS, PSV, and ITB, including participation in afterhours cover for the ITB service and
provide teaching at the undergraduate and post graduate level. The HIP Rehabilitation Physician will be encouraged to undertake research or clinical audit, and pursue a subspecialty interest. The HIP YACDC and ITB Rehabilitation Physician (HIP) will contribute to the development of new initiatives and be expected to adopt a constructive and flexible approach to their implementation.

Information Knowledge Translation Officer
The CP Info Project
As we work our way through topic areas for the 0-2 and 3-6 year old life stages (our Minimum Viable Product milestone July 2021), we are looking for someone with good knowledge of medical, CP specific and/or specialist therapies to develop appropriate content (topic summaries). This person would write a brief overview to topics which can be reworked by the Project Team into the right style, tone of voice and language for the Platform. They would also review content already completed to date.

This type of work would be suitable for a PHD student or someone with the medical knowledge required. This would be a part time position (approximately 22.5 per week) for at least the next 12 months.

Website/Digital Marketing Coordinator
The CP Info Project
This role will coordinate and upload approved information resources (content, images, PDFs, video files, sound files, etc…) to the platform. This person would also coordinate Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and digital campaigns. This is mostly a technical role, but preferably we seek someone with this experience from within our sector, ideally they are familiar with the terminology which relates to CP. This would be 12 month, part-time position (22.50 per week), with the possibility of extension. It may be suitable for someone who has some health/background knowledge, who may have an interest in websites, digital marketing or an interest to be upskilled.
