This is a part-time, term position, approx. 975 hours for FY 2024-2025. The wage is $18.00 per hour and is not eligible for benefits.

This is a full-time, 12-month staff position, reporting to the Head ... Coach of Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving/Aquatic Director. This position will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving/Aquatic Director in all aspects of coaching, recruiting, and administering within the swimming & diving program as well as assisting with the UC Aquatic Center. Implements coaching strategies and methods to help student-athletes’ growth in athletic, interpersonal, academic, and teamwork skills; analyzes performance of team and adjusts strategies as needed; plans and conducts practices and other activities in preparation for competition; and actively recruits competitive and qualified individuals.
Helps identify and develop team strategy for recruitment; analyzes future needs; creates promotional strategy for contacting and recruiting prospective student athletes; develops promotional correspondence and materials for distribution to prospective recruits; conducts recruiting calls, trips, and activities.
Bachelor’s degree required; two years of coaching experience preferably at the collegiate level; strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills; ability to recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes; organize official visits including assigning hosts and create itineraries while adhering to all NAIA rules & guidelines. Knowledge of Hy-Tek Software, eDive and Divemeets.com is desirable as well.

Graduate Assistant Swim Coach
Northern State University Responsibilities:
The candidate will assist in training, recruitment and management of a Division II Women’s Swimming and Diving. Day-to-day duties will include assistance... in operation of team, recruiting, running of practices, availability to student-athletes, analysis of technique, underwater filming and general team duties. The candidate will be a vital part of the Swim and Dive program. Candidate must follow all NSIC, NCAA and Northern State University procedures, rules and protocols.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a 2.75 minimum cumulative GPA required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Stroke and turn knowledge, training knowledge, social media knowledge and trends preferred . Must have the ability to balance a fast-paced work environment. Prior coaching experience preferred.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Varied working hours, night and weekend hours common with office hours dependent on weekly game schedules. The candidate will receive a tuition waiver and a stipend (outlined above), which is paid on a monthly basis.

This position also assists with recruiting and alumni stewardship. The head diving coach works closely with the Mary Frances Wagley Head Coach of Swimming and Diving to create the best possible experience for MIT student-athletes. Essential Duties: • Lead a high quality, nationally competitive varsity diving program that is challenging, well organized and administered based on sound coaching techniques and instructional strategies. These duties include but are not limited to: • Coaching: Plan season, weekly and daily training plans to help advance diving skills. Collaborate with Sports Performance staff on sound and effective lifting program for the divers. • Advising: Communicate weekly schedule to team and coordinate alternate practices for student-athletes with academic conflicts and/or injuries. Provide opportunities for goal setting and video review as needed throughout the season. • Recruiting: Assist in recruiting academically qualified student-athletes to a highly selective STEM institution • Administration: Maintain team records, manage diving software, and send appropriate results to DAPER, NCAA and NEWMAC offices. Adhere to regulations associated with MIT, conference, and national governance regulations at the NCAA Division III membership level. • Other: Perform other duties as assigned by head coach and/or department head/director of athletics.
