Fremont unified school District Seeking fully credentialed teacher librarian candidates, and those who will be eligible for their preliminary California credential by August of next school year. Position is full time in a public comprehensive high school in Fremont California. The focus of this position is on information literacy instruction. The library also has a full-time library media technician. Teacher Librarian HS
Fairfield Suisun unified school district This is a full-time teacher librarian I position in our district. There is a full-time teacher, librarian, full-time library technician, and full-time textbook room technician at the school. It is a large (2,100 students) high school in our district with an IB program on the campus. The teacher librarian is absolutely seen as a leader, around professional development, collaboration with teachers, and research support. Happy to answer any questions!
We are a highly collaborative team with full-time teacher librarians at the high school and itinerant teacher librarians at the comprehensive middle schools and elementary sites.

Broad knowledge of and passion for children’s and young adult literature
Fluency in using and teaching information literacy skills, media literacy, and digital citizenship
Collection development or materials management
Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment for diverse perspectives that recognizes that identity and emotions matter
A nuanced understanding of DEI/social justice knowledge from a personal or programmatic perspective
Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally with a diverse constituency of caregivers, students, and colleagues.

Takes initiative and leadership roles with a team approach that includes the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse constituencies.
In addition to the required qualifications, desirable additional skills include:
Familiarity with Learning Ally and Overdrive
Knowledge of educational technology to support teaching and learning
