Trustee Secretariat

The California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking a Trustee Secretariat to assume responsibility for high-level executive support to the Board of Trustees, working directly with the Board Chair, Board Secretary, the Chancellor, the Executive Vice Chancellors and Vice Chancellors, campus presidents, and other senior system leaders to facilitate and coordinate the strategic operations of the Board.
This position is responsible for executing special projects on behalf of the Board, the Secretary, and Chancellor and for monitoring and ensuring effective and timely completion of all projects and Board requests. Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Vice Chancellor and General Counsel, Secretary of the Board of Trustees, the Trustee Secretariat will:
-Work directly with Board Chair, Chancellor, Board Secretary, and other senior leadership to facilitate and coordinate the strategic business operations for the Board of Trustees; ensure all operations are in alignment with the strategic goals, priorities, and policies of the Board and system.
-Coordinate and manage strategic projects as directed by Board Chair, the Secretary, and Chancellor; including planning, developing and executing a comprehensive trustee onboarding, mentorship, and online continuing education program.
-Coordinate and execute all aspects of the Board of Trustees meetings and its committees in compliance with law and policy. Includes strategic development of meeting agendas, annual meeting schedule and overseeing all Board material preparation, distribution, legal postings and archiving.
