Junior Programmer

HBS Systems is seeking a Junior Programmer to join our team. The Junior Programmer assists in writing, coding, and testing software programs and applications. This also includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production life cycle. Job duties

Provide support to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of HBS software
Convert customer data from HBS and various competitive computer systems into a format compatible with HBS Proprietary Software
Effectively self-test programming, diagnose problems and debugging code
Coordinate timely price file data conversions
Convert manufacturer price file data received from various vendors into a format compatible with HBS software
Manage multiple conversion projects simultaneously, and prioritize effectively to ensure on-time and accurate conversions
Logging and tracking processes from scheduling to completion
Coordinating with other HBS departments to ensure an orderly and timely completion
Creating procedure documentation for processes
Develop a schedule for project completion and meet deadlines as assigned
Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

Must have at least one year of programming experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Analytical skills backed by high proficiency in dealing with data including Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, and other formats
C, Javascript, CSS, HTML
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management in both written and verbal form
Strong organizational skills and project management ability

HBS Systems is seeking qualified candidates to train and support our clients on our Equipment Dealership Management System (ERP software) solutions. Our software includes Payroll, Point of Sale Invoicing, Inventory Management, Full Accounting (A/R, A/P, General Ledger), Service and Rental modules.

Job duties:

Identify customer business needs, advise, and assist in implementing software solutions
Serve as an intermediary between the customer’s business and software developers
Train and assist customers on implementation and ongoing use of tailored software solutions via telephone, video correspondence, email, and on-site at customers location
Manage customer accounts, incoming support calls, and troubleshoot reported issues
Quickly and courteously build rapport through effective customer communication and interaction skills
Work independently with little supervision and also as part of a team
Possess a strong understanding of software solutions and clearly communicate processes

Job Qualifications:

Previous bookkeeper or large dealership parts inventory management experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management in both written and verbal forms
Agricultural, Construction, Truck, Auto or Power Sports Dealership experience helpful
High technology IQ and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred

UI Developer

HBS Systems is seeking an experienced UI Developer to join our team. Job duties

Composes web pages using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and turns a wireframe design into well-formatted, user-friendly web applications
Convert customer data from HBS and various competitive computer systems into a format compatible with HBS Proprietary Software
Demonstrates creative, technical, and analytical skills
Responsible for the design and development of web pages, graphics, and multimedia, GUIs
Effectively develops in a clean, well structured, easily maintainable format
Utilizes storyboarding and graphic pre-designs where appropriate
Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments
Develop a schedule for project completion and meet deadlines as assigned

Job qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of web development and UI development experience is required

Solid experience utilizing HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, LESS, React and/or Vue experience is a plus
