Respiratory Therapist

This position is responsible for: Providing, under the general direction of the Therapist in Charge or Assistant Director of Respiratory Care, all routine and emergency respiratory care in all patient care areas. The Respiratory Therapists provide clinical direction for respiratory care trainees and technicians. The therapists provide consultation and education to other healthcare professionals as well. The therapist is in routine contact with patients during the provision of hands-on care and in frequent contact with patients’ families. The respiratory therapist will have contact with other hospital staff, such as nurses and physicians.

Currently looking for a motivated Respiratory Therapist to work night shift (7p-7a) along with every third weekend at Nemours AIDHC. 60 hours every two weeks, full-time.

Essential Functions:

1. Verify all physician orders for respiratory care. and provide age and developmental-appropriate care to infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

2.Assess patients clinically and evaluate for appropriateness of therapy.

3. Provide aerosolized medication therapy, provide airway clearance therapies , airway management such as trach changes, tube taping, suctioning, medical gas therapy., ventilator setup and management., perform non-invasive monitoring, i.e., pulse oximetry, transcutaneous O2/CO2 and end-tidal CO2 monitoring, assist with in-house and inter-facility transports.

4. Provide emergency respiratory care, i.e., airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, perform arterial blood gas sampling, point of care testing and electrocardiograms., participate in airway management during bronchoscopies.

5. Document care provided, patient assessment and patient care orders in electronic medical record (EMR) or hard copy when necessary. Enter charges in EMR

Nemours is seeking a Nursing Assistant for 2West, our Intermediate Care Unit to join our team in Wilmington, DE. This position is rotating shifts (7p-7a and 7a-7p) with every third weekend and holiday rotation..

I. Primary Function -

This position is responsible for: Assisting with general activities of the patient care unit and assist the health care team with performance of patient care activities, under the direction and guidance of a Registered Nurse.

II. Essential Functions –

1. Ensures an adequate stock of all necessary equipment and supplies in designated areas at established par levels.

2. Ensures a clean and safe patient care unit.

3. Assists patients with activities of daily life (bath, feed, play, etc.) and provides other patient care as directed.

4. Assures all supplies are accurately charged.

DVSV Youth Counselor

The DVSV Youth Counselor provides comprehensive trauma counseling services for adolescent primary and secondary survivors of sexual violence to include individual and group therapy both in-person and via telehealth. This position will provide services in the both the Newark facility, Wilmington facility and high school wellness centers, and reports to the SARC Counseling Services Manager.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Provides crisis intervention, assessment and short/long term counseling to primary and secondary survivors of sexual violence, teen dating violence and abuse.

including swing shift scheduling. The Facilities Monitor/Floor Manager provides security, safety and protection

Monitor/Floor Manager provides case management support in acclimating participants to the program. The

The Facilities Monitor/Floor Manager work with the Home Life Management Center participants assisting them
with the adjustment to group living through consistent reinforcement of program guidelines, curfews and all safety
and security procedures. The Floor Managers model and encourage appropriate behavior and expectations to and
with participants and staff. We provide our services using the Trauma Informed Care methodology.

The weekend shifts are 12 hour shifts from 8am-8pm and 8pm to 8am. Weekday shift are fill in for regular staff who will be out. Those shifts include 8am-4 pm, 4pm-12am, 6pm-12am, 12am-8am.
