Director, Political Affairs and Member Engagement

The Director of Political Affairs and Member Engagement manages all aspects of administering FamMedPAC, the AAFP’s Political Action Committee, including solicitation, disbursement, and all required reporting. The Director will also oversee grassroots/tops outreach programs aimed at increasing advocacy and engagement amongst AAFP members including identifying opportunities for AAFP members to engage with their legislators. This includes developing messaging and resources to educate AAFP members.

Primary responsibilities include:

Manages Political Action Committee, including preparing and submitting all reports/filings required by FEC and IRS regulations, as well as state and local reports/filings; staffs/manages FamMedPAC Board of Directors; analyses requests for campaign contributions, prepares two-year election cycle contribution budget and target list, processes and arranges for delivery of checks for campaign contributions, attends/organizes political fund raising events; develops and implements solicitation strategy for PAC, develops marketing materials, manages outside vendors.
Manages the operations of the grassroots/tops advocacy programs to achieve maximum participation from AAFP members; drafts, coordinates, and distributes calls to actions to members; tracks impact of grassroots/tops campaigns efforts by members, drafts and updates content for advocacy website, works with contracted vendor to distribute relevant grassroots/tops materials.
Manage all aspects of Family Medicine Action Summit, AAFP’s annual fly-in. Duties include and are not limited to: development and implementation of fly-in agenda, development and distribution of advocacy deliverables, working directly with conference planners to address venue logistics.
Provides assistance and updates to members and state chapter staff on political action and grassroots issues for which they seek help on a timely basis.

Manager, Product Marketing Strategy

The Manager, Product Marketing Strategy is responsible for defining the appropriate marketing strategies that will meet or exceed business goals and objectives associated with the organizational non-dues revenue efforts. Develop, manage, implement, and monitor the success of integrated strategic marketing plans and tactics targeted to appropriate audiences—this to include both B2C and B2B marketing approaches. Provide collaborative and marketing support to the assigned Business Areas and/or products within the Academy. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy and will be responsible for managing up to four team members.

Specific aspects include:

Develop and/or oversee the integrated strategic marketing plans assigned to your team, and the associated timing, budgets and results for each plan/campaign.
Lead deliberate, thoughtful, meaningful, and strategic discussions with your team but also with internal Business Area partners.
Be a trusted advisor to internal Business Area team members by establishing a strong relationship and understanding of their business including target audience, business environment and performance measures.
Develop concise and inspiring creative briefs to drive work that is strategically sound, creatively compelling and delivers the desired business results.
Collaborate with Integrated Marketing Communications team (internal creative team) to develop marketing activities (ex. direct mail, email, sales collateral) that are compelling, impactful and achieve the strategic objectives and results.
Monitor, evaluate and report on performance metrics regarding marketing effectiveness.
Drive new process, product and/or program innovation and growth.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other related field plus at least eight years of related work experience—B2B, B2C, and product management and/or product marketing experience preferred.

Health Information Technology SME Consultant
National Council of Urban Indian Health
The Health Information Technology (HIT) SMEs will provide consultation to Urban Indian Organizations (UIOs) to support training and troubleshooting with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, HIT implementation, the utilization of clinical data, and meeting routine reporting responsibilities. SMEs may also assist with implementation of electronic case reporting (or eCR) - the automated generation and transmission of mandated case reports from an EHR to a public health authority.

The work of SMEs will contribute to NCUIH’s aims to provide support to member organizations on sustainable improvements in their HIT systems and data reporting processes. Members provide a spectrum of primarily outpatient services including full ambulatory services (medical, dental, behavioral health, etc.), limited ambulatory (limited hours), outreach and referral services only, and residential treatment centers.

Public Health Associate

The type of services FOLX offers will be focused on the needs and wants of the trans and queer community and are inclusive of the following: trans/nonbinary gender affirming hormone therapy, ED, PrEP, LGBTQ+ virtual care.
