The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the RECOG-AI project. RECOG-AI is a two-year DARPA-funded project on the Robust Evaluation of Cognitive Capabilities and Generality in Artificial Intelligence. The main objective of the project is to improve AI evaluation by providing a framework and benchmarks for measuring the capabilities of AI systems. The work will be drawing from multiple disciplines, but primarily from computer science, and animal and human psychology. The appointment will be for 21 months in the first instance, and is based in Cambridge, UK. There are two postdoctoral positions available. Candidates should have (or be about to achieve) a PhD in a relevant field and should provide strong evidence of potential for research and publication at the highest level, as well as strong interest in engagement with the cognitive sciences. The goal of this PhD is to investigate how unfair services on the web can be detected. In Scool, we have studied fairness verification problem for offline machine learning algorithms.
