You will operate in the field of electric drivetrain and powerelectronics functions within the domain Vehicle Motion & Energy and be part of a highly motivated and interdisciplinary developer team, which is responsible for innovative functions of the electric drivetrain. Our deliverables contains the machine control, application software within the powerelectronics, cross-connected software for vehicle functionalities as well es the core functions to drive the ecu across the Volkswagen Group product portfolio. Thereby, we enable future innovations, best-in-class driving adventure and deliver a significant contribution to the overall driver experience.
You discuss and define functional and technical safety concepts, support the task of the functional safety in the development and review all safety relevant documents in the project. You work in a close collaboration with the expert team of functional safety of other domains and as well with the central safety team of “Vehicle Motion & Energy” within the CARIAD.

Safety artefacts, documentation and release of safety functions for in-vehicle operation following the CARIAD and industry engineering processes, norms and guidelines to ensure compliance with quality standards and legal requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION
Imperix is constantly developing new power electronics application examples so that customers can get started more quickly and more effectively when working on converter control implementation. In that sense, the company seeks to reinforce its R&D team with an PE engineer interested in :
* Developing and implementing control techniques for a broad varierty of power electronic applications. The selected control implementation shall be based on solid literature review and state-of-the art solutions.
* Validating the proposed implementation using both computer simulations and experimental validation with imperix products.
* Documenting the implemented solution and providing related advice to readers.

Typical applications also vary from motor drives to PV or energy storage systems, going through microgrids and wireless power transfer systems.
Furthermore, contributions to product development are also expected.

REQUIREMENTS
* Education: MSc or PhD in electrical engineering (or similar field of studies).
* Seniority: Prior experience in power electronics desired.
* Language: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Other languages are a plus.
