Senior Virtual Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities:
The Senior Virtual Infrastructure Engineers duties will include all facets of virtual computing support, including troubleshooting and critical customer situations.

This individual will work with a team in the US (Chicago and nearby suburbs). Responsibilities include but are not limited to operational tasks, server/infrastructure patching, audit support, problem/change tickets, server troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Project-oriented responsibilities include but are not limited to infrastructure upgrades, hardware upgrades/replacement and POC for new technologies.

Must have very strong current technical knowledge in addition to excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. The ability to work independently and as a dedicated team member is required.

Looking for someone with 4+ years VMWare ESXi with current hands-on experience:

·   Resolving complex issues
·   Ability to provide input into architecture and solutions
·   Providing quick and accurate support of day to day operations  
·   Security minded
·   Extensive planning and execution of upgrades/migrations
·   In-depth experience installing/configuring/maintaining hosts
·   Extensive experience with creating and maintenance of VM templates

Important elements required include the following:

·   4+ years of hands-on experience Administering Windows Server 2012 and 2016
·   3+ years Hyperconverged Solution (Preferable Nutanix knowledge)
·   3+ years Disaster Recovery (DR) replication and restore (Preferably Zerto knowledge)
·   4+ years Datacenter Rack and Stack
·   3+ years of current hands-on experience on Server Hardware
·   Strong Windows troubleshooting Experience
·   Provide On-Call Rotational support 24/7 is required

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Science, Business, Information Systems, or equivalent
