Postdoctoral Researchers or Doctoral Students to Machine Learning Software Systems Research
to work on tools and methodologies for the software engineering of machine learning systems. To ensure that machine learning systems work for real, new ways are needed to ensure their correct and efficient operation as well as their smooth development and maintenance. At the moment we are running or about to start multiple European and national projects focusing on testing of AI systems, MLOps, and ML engineering.
The aim of our empirical and experimental approach is to come up with new and improved solutions for AI system testing, which can be applied in practice. The candidate is expected to analyze, measure, and model alternative ways to test different kind of machine learning systems and create new ideas and insights based on those. This includes implementing research prototypes to try out ideas and to collect and analyze data. Documenting the results in scientific papers is naturally important.
Besides research, the Postdoctoral Researcher is expected to contribute to other common academic tasks such as teaching, generation of new research ideas, and writing grant proposals.
In both positions, curiosity, inventiveness, excitement to new learning, ability for independent work, and strong motivation to turn research findings into academic papers are key characteristics. The detailed focus of the work can be tailored based on the prior competence of the applicant.

You will creatively plan, research, write and proofread editorial content in the ICT field. You will oversee the online
communication, social media presence, community building, and promotional messaging for European-funded and commercial research and innovation projects in various ICT fields, including for instance smart cities, telecommunications, multimedia, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, cloud computing or next generation Internet.

Web Developer

As Web Developer, you will collaborate with different teams in Martel to code and craft innovative Apps and fresh-looking Web Sites. You will have chances to express your creativity and to challenge yourself with different projects and cutting-edge technologies, ranging from the development of modern Web applications for IoT scenarios, to the customisation and development of templates and plugins for Wordpress.
While part of the R&D team, you will closely collaborate with Martel media team, translating communication and Web designers' ideas into crisp and interactive interfaces.
You will be active in a friendly international environment and participate in national and international R&D projects across Europe (and beyond from time to time). In this respect some travelling within and outside Europe will be entailed

Maintaining security is a constantly shifting task, and we need to respond with continuous learning and research. SAP Security Research pursues this vision by investigating topics such as Anonymization for Big Data, Secure Internet of Things, Software security analysis, Open-source analysis, Deceptive application, Applied cryptography, Quantum technology, and Machine Learning as enabler for the next generation of security.
The successful candidate will join a team of researchers at SAP Security Research (SAP Labs France, in Sophia-Antipolis), and his/her research will be carried out in the context of EU-funded project AssureMOSS, of which SAP is the technical leader. The scientific supervision of the candidate will be ensured by a professor from a partner academic institution.
The goal of this project is to investigate novel ways to automate the analysis of source code, especially originating from open-source repositories, to determine code changes that are security-relevant, because they introduce a vulnerability or because they provide a fix to a vulnerability. The research will be based upon data collected from open-source software repositories using dedicated mining techniques and will apply and extend cutting-edge research results from different areas of machine-learning (distributed representations, deep neural networks, transfer learning and others).
