Educational Technology Coordinator

International school Aberdeen ISA is looking for a suitably qualified technology teacher to join its teaching team. The role will include Design and Technology and Information Technology classes. Flexibility i... n teaching assignments will be expected and the timetable will likely include grade 9 and 10 (S3/S4) classes. The successful candidate will be required to prepare learning opportunities for classes, facilitate in-context learning and support cross discipline projects. Inquiry-based instruction will need to be differentiated to meet student needs across the learning continuum. The teacher will also be required to develop, review and revise curriculum in the School’s curriculum mapping tool (Atlas Rubicon), incorporating the school’s learning principles in lessons and assessment.
The teacher will also participate in professional development and the after-school activities programme. They will establish and maintain positive relationships with other members of the school staff, showing strong collaborative skills, and communicate effectively with parents. They will attend relevant meetings and support the building of a strong sense of community at the school. Participation in parent conferences, curriculum review activities and professional development days is expected of all faculty. A Disclosure Scotland PVG Membership application will be undertaken on behalf of the successful applicant; cost to be met by the employer. The applicant must be eligible for registration with GTC Scotland. The employer will meet the cost of the employee’s work visa, but not any associated costs, and not the cost of dependent visas.
