Postdoc in characterisation of ferroelectrics
Technical University of Denmark
We're looking for a motivated postdoc to join the team at DTU Physics! You would spearhead the development of a new type of x-ray microscope, and be the first to apply it to ferroelectric and related materials. Experience in x-ray or electron characterisation would be an advantage.

PhD Position at the University of Strasbourg
IPCMS
- Study ferroelectric domain walls by means of nonlinear optical microscopy and advanced image processing tools.
- Computer simulations to help interpreting the experimental data.
PhD position: Dynamical polarisation mechanisms in thin film relaxors for energy storage applications
Materials Center Leoben Forschung GmbH
In the mainframe of an ERC grant we are looking for a physics or materials science graduate student to unravel the correlation between chemical order, polar order and dynamic dielectric response in lead-free relaxors. The study involves the setting up of a new in situ Raman spectroscopy technique and the use of atomistic modelling routines for interpretation of spectra. The goal is to provide guidelines on compositional tuning of relaxor thin films to achieve high recoverable energy density.
