Tourism Marketing and Communications Manager

The current mission of the DMO is to promote and develop the County’s visitor brand experience for sustainable economic growth and quality of place that leads to increase overnight lodging stays, contributing to economic growth within the destination.
The DMO’s Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for all promotion and marketing efforts to promote Pasco County, better known as Florida’s Sports Coat, as a desirable destination for leisure travel, sports tourism, SMERF, corporate, association and other groups that bring visitors to our area.
This position requires effective use of time for managing diverse projects; exceptional customer service skills; and independent judgment and discretion in planning, scheduling and coordinating numerous projects and sources of information. Excellent writing, editing, design, photography, print production and proofreading skills/knowledge are mandatory.

Analyze small business information provided by clients to determine areas of improvement and connections to appropriate resources. Develop independently custom information, analysis and research needed by customers. Manage proper locations and logistics for workshops and events. Develop recommendations to promote consulting services and expand customer base. Make recommendations on programs and policies based on analysis of customer needs and learning styles Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with other agencies and organizations; and represent i individuals. Prepare plans and reports relative to assigned area of work Provide information and assistance to county staff, business organizations, businesses and citizens Performs other related duties as required.
