Volunteer Coordinator
Board on Aging and Long Term Care

The Board on Aging and Long Term Care (BOALTC) is looking for their next Volunteer Coordinator to serve long term care consumers in Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Calumet, Winnebago, Outagamie, and Brown counties.
Core responsibilities include:
1) Recruitment of Volunteer Representatives of the Office through outreach and advertisement.
2) Conduct mandatory screening, including Conflict of Interest screens and secure completed Background Information Disclosure (BID) forms for Legal Counsel to conduct caregiver background checks.
3) Conduct and track initial trainings for the volunteers in accordance with federal and program Training Standards.
4) Conduct appropriate placement of volunteers to local long-term care homes and monitor such placements.
5) Provide regular verbal and written guidance, support, and direction to each volunteer.
6) Implement volunteer retention strategies and develop a method to assess volunteer satisfaction and areas of improvement.
7) Plan and conduct annual recognition events for each volunteer.
8) Coordinate with the Regional Ombudsman in the assigned region.
9) Accurately record program activities within the program’s electronic database.
