Capital Projects Supervisor - Survey

This position is responsible for providing program, operations, management and staff supervision specific to health care facility physical environment survey. The position provides management and oversight of staff performance, technical evaluation and code analysis specific to federal and State survey activity of health care facilities. The role includes performing a minimum of three federal life safety surveys per month, along with auditing survey staff’s write-ups, survey hours, and performance to maintain the quality and integrity of the office. This position will be responsible for addressing concerns from healthcare facilities, participating in Informal Dispute Resolutions and working with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) directly. Also, this position provides input into the development, implementation, and evaluation of the survey policies and procedures.

Health Facility Surveyor

The Health Facility Surveyor functions as a member of the survey team conducting program monitoring activities and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and state codes for licensure, program certification and eligibility for participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs within nursing facilities, skilled nursing facilities and institutes for mental disease (long term care facilities). The position ensures compliance with standards and rules in the following areas: admissions, transfers and discharges; resident rights; staffing and census; quality of care assessment; quality of life assessment; resident care plans; social, psychological and rehabilitative services; provision of medical services; and therapeutic activity programming. The Health Facility Surveyor is responsible for providing expertise to the survey team in the areas identified above and serves as team coordinator as designated. As assigned by the Regional Field Operations Supervisor, this position investigates complaints and conducts follow-up and surveillance visits.

Investigations Program Associate

The Investigations Program Associate plays a critical role in administering various program areas and ensuring compliance with state/federal laws, department and office performance standards, and interagency agreements. This position supports caregiver misconduct investigations including; drafting and issuing case correspondence, tracking status of investigations and outcomes, storing and retrieving confidential case records, and entering findings of misconduct on state and federal registries in accordance with state and federal laws. This position maintains the Caregiver Misconduct Registry, which is the primary source for potential employers to verify if a caregiver is eligible to work as a caregiver in the state of Wisconsin, to ensure accuracy and completeness of information. This position independently processes referrals to partner protective agencies, law enforcement and other state agencies. The Investigations Program Associate is responsible for responding to inquiries from the general public and other agencies on the Wisconsin Caregiver Law including reporting requirements and the Caregiver Misconduct Registry.
