The successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated leader with demonstrated communication, project management, and relationship-building skills with recent experience leading a dynamic State Chapter of Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs). This position is based in Huntsville, Alabama, but may be performed remotely. Travel will be required. The Department of Justice – Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention funds this position, and the position is contingent upon receipt of continued funding of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day budget status and execution of congressional appropriations in support of the AHPO
Develop get well plans to support OSD budgetary obligation and disbursement goals
Work with cost analyst to assist with costing projection for fiscal year budget execution
Assist business team in developing budget products and presentation documents in support of the project management office
Work with project management functional teams in efforts to develop budget requirements and execute funding in support of fielding capabilities to Army units.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field
3 years of experience in budget execution
Secret Clearance required
Coordinating and executing funding actions in support of Department of Defense (DoD)
Preparing and submitting Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), and Direct Charge (DC) transactions
Monitoring funds execution and creating financial reports
Executing budget and funding action using the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS):
o Pull status of funds
o Build WBS and adjust funding across
o Track funding obligations and disbursements
o Adjust funding documents
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
10 years of relevant experience
Budget experience for a major weapon systems development
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high paced, multitasking environment
TS/SCI Clearance desired; Secret Clearance required

The candidate will provide system engineering expertise to the GMD System Readiness Directorate for Operations and Sustainment of the fielded GMD weapon system.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace/defense industry
The ideal candidate will have experience with Systems Engineering and Integration for ACAT I defense weapon systems and should have the following experience/skill set: 5+ years of experience on GMD Program (or similar ACAT I defense weapon system)
Demonstrated experience in the development and assessment of technical documentation (drawings, specifications, test reports, operator procedures) necessary to ensure the government's ability to support fielding, operations and sustainment activities of the weapon system
Solid understanding and practical experience formulating technical processes (systems engineering, failure review boards, operational readiness and risk management) for large, complex programs
Solid technical writing and presentation development capability
