Chief Operating Officer
Sydney School of Entrepreneurship
Sydney School of Entrepreneurship (SSE) is a unique collaboration between all 11 NSW universities and TAFE NSW. Their mission is to drive next
generation Australian entrepreneurship, connecting students to a powerful
network of local and global partners, through academic and co-curricular
learning activities.
Established in 2016 with cornerstone investment by NSW Government, SSE
launched in August 2017 and has already hosted more than 100+ activities,
welcoming more than 4,000 people including 2,000 student entrepreneurs.
Reporting to the CEO and leading a high performing team, SSE are looking
for a dynamic COO to lead and inspire change in delivering impact for
what is a start-up itself in the context of an academic setting. As a strategic
leader, you will work across the tertiary education sector to develop the
SSE brand, deliver special projects and scale existing ones, and build
new policies, systems, processes and procedures to ensure efficient and
effective operations.
This role requires you to be an outstanding leader and excellent
communicator with strong operational leadership, ideally within the
Australian university sector. With an active network and direct access to
entrepreneurship, government and tertiary decision makers, you will have
demonstrated strategic and operational excellence, a consultative but
decisive management style, a strong commercial awareness and exceptional execution skills to deliver results.
