Research & Engagement Librarian

Youth Specialist

Overview: Youth Specialists are enthusiastic individuals who provide information, reader’s advisory, and circulation services to Library patrons of all ages, with a specific emphasis on services and programming for children and teens.
Hourly Pay: $20.69 without MLIS / $23.69 with MLIS (Non-Exempt)

Training Specialist
Forsyth County Public Library
The role of the Training Specialist is to identify training requirements, develop and coordinate
suitable training programs, create training materials and resources, and deliver in-person and
virtual training for all library staff. Additionally, the Training Specialist performs administrative tasks
to support the training function. This role reports to the Deputy Director.

This is a full-time exempt professional position under the general direction of the OKRLS Board of Trustees. Duties include planning, managing, and directing the operations, programs, services, and personnel of the library system. Special working conditions and physical demands include working in a library environment, sustaining posture in a standing or seated position for prolonged periods of time, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 40 pounds, frequently bending, twisting, and squatting, using various types of technology, keyboarding/typing extensively, traveling to other locations, and communicating verbally and non-verbally while exchanging information with clarity and understanding.
