NWA World is looking for a full time Director for the Center for Innovative Practices in WIC. The successful candidate will be an experienced manager who can lead a highly talented team and develop the Center for Innovative Practices in WIC. They will possess a clear understanding of the WIC program and be able to demonstrate knowledge of recent developments in WIC innovation.
In collaboration with NWA leadership, the Director, Center for Innovative Practices in WIC, will oversee the work of the Center, help establish this group as the premier source of information on innovative practices in WIC, manage the staff within the team, and oversee their portfolios. Specifically, the position will:
Inform strategic development to support the CIP-WIC.
In collaboration with the NWA Leadership Team and CIP-WIC staff, drive development and lead implementation of the annual work plan for the Center.
Supervise staff within CIP-WIC. This includes mentoring staff, managing workload and capacity.
Triage issues/topics to explore through grant funded work, and collaborate with NWA development leads to develop concept notes and funding proposals.
Project manage to ensure grant funded projects within the Center are on track and meet deliverables.
Manage requests from internal NWA teams for expertise on innovative practices in WIC.
Develop processes for responding to the needs of NWA member requests for resources and technical assistance.
Represent NWA to WIC stakeholders on issues specific to innovation.
Develop strategies for monitoring and engaging with opportunities associated with the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, the available USDA funding, and other policy developments to support outreach, innovation, and program modernization efforts in WIC.
Develops and manages the annual budget for the CIP-WIC.
Performs other duties as assigned.

We Testify
We Testify is seeking a Press Coordinator to help amplify the voices of individuals who have had abortions and support their storytelling through various media and social media channels. As the Press Coordinator, you will work towards promoting the organization’s cultural shift vision by asserting people who have abortion as experts and building their expertise and narratives in news and cultural media. The Press Coordinator will also be responsible for growing the relationships of We Testify and abortion storytellers with press to help press understand how to thoughtfully work with and cover abortion and the experiences of people who have them.

In this role, you will be working closely with people who have had abortions to help them delve deeper into their experiences and determine which parts of their stories they feel comfortable sharing with the public. Your main objective will be to pitch reporters to encourage them to highlight these storytellers, ensuring that the media coverage accurately reflects their experiences. The Press Coordinator will support visionary campaigns that showcase a wide spectrum of abortion experiences, engage with people who have abortions, donors and supporters, and challenge the public to think deeply about the complexity of these experiences.

The Development Manager will be responsible for managing various aspect of the organization’s foundation support as well as creating a robust grassroots and major donor plan and retaining relationships with individual donors.
