Program Officer- Project TRUST
USCRI
USCRI, a national provider of services to foreign national victims of human trafficking is partnering with the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD)— a leading expert in trauma-informed and responsive care—to manage Project TRUST (Trauma Response to Uplift Survivors of Trafficking). Funded by the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) at the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice, TRUST was developed in response to the need for specialized training and technical assistance (TTA) for trauma-informed responses and services to OVC providers working with victims of all forms of human trafficking across the U.S. and its territories.

The Program Officer for Project TRUST supports the day-to-day program operations and works with project partners, including NASMHPD, OVC-network service providers and survivor leaders to design materials, develop and implement the specialized TTA, and coordinate data collection and evaluation, as well as support other key areas relevant to the Project’s management.

Position Description:
The Resource Navigator is a fulltime, nonexempt, position that provides supportive services for the prevention, intervention and recovery of victims for human trafficking by providing peer counseling, case management, community education and outreach services. This position is responsible for assisting in providing educational services to targeted vulnerable populations. The Resource Navigator reports directly to the PEACE (Human Trafficking) Program Manager and is co-located at the Family Justice Center (FJC), for the purpose of providing supportive services to prevent victimization as well as targeted outreach & education.  The responsibilities of this position are key to ensuring alignment between PEACE program and WCYFS mission.

Description
Preble Street Anti-Trafficking Services (ATS) is currently seeking a Caseworker to work as part of the Anti-Trafficking Services team. The primary responsibilities of the ATS Caseworker will include providing intensive case management services to survivors of human trafficking, conducting outreach and providing trainings, and collaborating with community partners in support of increasing awareness of and providing services to survivors. The Caseworker will provide advocacy and collaboration as needed with ATS partner agencies to provide a continuum of care for clients including attorneys and law enforcement.

Requirements
The preferred education and experience qualifications for ATS Caseworker positions include a bachelor’s degree in social work, social welfare or a related field, as well as experience in casework management; however, candidates with any combination of education and experience likely to provide the skills, knowledge and abilities to be successful in the position will be considered. Frequent regional travel is required for this position, and candidates must have access to reliable transportation for regional travel on a daily basis in order to fulfill the duties of the position.

Experience working with trafficking survivors and/or survivors of physical or sexual abuse and/or immigrants or refugees or similar populations is preferred. Candidates for this position should be skilled in crisis intervention, with the ability to establish boundaries and set limits in challenging situations, and have a thorough understanding of traumatic reactions, mental illness, substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. Case Manager

This is an ideal opportunity for a social worker or case manager who seeks to support clients within a holistic social justice law practice. The case manager will provide comprehensive case management, advocacy, community-based resource referrals, and crisis intervention. The case manager is responsible for working with clients to formulate individual case plans that assess their needs and promote progress towards goals and self-sufficiency. Special Counsel, Uganda
The Human Trafficking Institute
The Human Trafficking Institute seeks applicants with prosecution experience for a Special Counsel position, which will be positioned within Uganda’s criminal justice system. In 2017, the Institute entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions in Uganda (ODPP) for the placement of a Special Counsel within the office of the ODPP. The selected Special Counsel will work in the ODPP, collaborate closely with prosecutors handling human trafficking cases throughout Uganda, and operate as an Institute liaison. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Bookkeeper
The Human Trafficking Institute
The Bookkeeper will play a significant role in the development and growth of the Human Trafficking Institute. He or she will have substantial influence in the planning and execution of financial controls and budgeting. Duties include keeping and managing records of financial transactions, general ledger duties, creating financial reports, posting transactions to journals or accounting software, and routine clerical work. The Bookkeeper also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload. This person is an executor – he or she gets things done with excellence and by deadline. The Bookkeeper makes those around them more effective in their roles at the Institute with meticulous oversight of the organization’s financial functions. The Bookkeeper will also serve as the Institute grant manager by preparing budgets and reports for foundation, government and other grants. This role reports to the Chief of Staff.
