Site Assessment and Toxicology Section Manager

Our Site Assessment and Toxicology Section (SATS) Manager has broad latitude and discretion in identifying priorities, developing strategies, and allocating resources. This position strategically plans and implements activities to assess health impacts and reduce human exposure to an ever-expanding number of harmful chemicals found in our environment, consumer products, and food.
Our SATS Manager provides supervision and leadership to a team of ten (10) and must be effective in the following areas:
Building, motivating, and coaching teams and have an equity and inclusion skillset that will help the agency implement its Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion transformation.
Budget allocations, ensuring performance expectations and measures are met, and continually evaluating results to improve program performance.
Identifying resource needs, and identifying, obtaining, and managing state and federal funding to support priority work where necessary, including grant and cooperative agreement applications and deliverables.
Building connections and working collaboratively on an ongoing basis with other agency programs; local, state, federal, and Tribal entities; academic and other partners to identify and respond to emerging issues.
Bringing visibility to SATS work internally and externally, and connecting the work to opportunities for policy change and ensuring impact.

Senior Contract Coordinator
Health Research Incorporated
The Senior Contract Coordinator will assist in coordinating and performing fiscal activities related to contracts with community-based providers who are part of the COVID-19 Health Disparities Program. The incumbent will work with contractors to contribute to the development of contract work plans, budget modifications, and expenditure plans, identify and support additional contractor training and technical assistance needs. The incumbent will contribute toward the assessment of work plan deliverables, contribute toward recommending strategies for using unexpended dollars to maximize available resources, and coordinate with appropriate project staff on problems and issues affecting contractors. The incumbent will complete other appropriate and related duties as assigned.
The COVID-19 Health Disparities Program is designed to address the long-standing inequities that have systematically undermined the physical, social, economic, and emotional health of racial and ethnic minority populations and other population groups that are bearing a disproportionate burden of COVID-19.
