University of the Arts London The University of the Arts London, Colllge of Communication (LCC) Design School is looking to recruit two lecturers for the MA Design for Social Innovation and Sustainable Futures... course on fixed-term contract basis to provide staff absence cover. The course is a collaborative, creative and generative studio for designers interested in working with complex global issues. It explores the future of design practice and its interdependence with eco-social concerns by interrogating the environment, materiality, empathy, ethics and justice within broad and dynamic socio-cultural, economic and political contexts, with an emphasis on innovative practice, collective action, plurality and real-world change.

The call is open to both European and non-European students!
The network will train 15 PhD students in the context of research and development for “Socially Aware Robotics.” The SWEET consortium is formed by 10 beneficiaries including 7 academic and 3 non-academic organizations plus 15 partner organizations to cover a full training programme on scientific, technical and personal development skills which will include secondments in current world-leading countries (Spain, Germany, UK, Italy, Sweden, France, South Korea, Japan) to gather the necessary knowledge and implement it in Europe.

University of Cambridge We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher in Machine Learning for Child-Robot Interactive Behaviour Analysis to work on the CHANSE MICRO Project. The postdoc will be based in t... he Affective Intelligence and Robotics Lab at the University of Cambridge Department of Computer Science and Technology and will be co-supervised by myself, Prof Jenny Gibson and Prof Tamsin Ford. The postdoc will work closely with the other members of the multi-national and multi-disciplinary team of researchers based in Uppsala University (Sweden), ETH Zürich (Switzerland) and Bielefeld University (Germany) on measuring children's wellbeing and mental health with social robots. The specific focus of the post will be on: 1) assisting in the design and undertaking of child-robot interaction studies, and 2) applying signal processing and machine learning methodologies for child-robot multimodal and interactive behaviour analysis and understanding to facilitate AI based child mental wellbeing and mental health prediction.
