Therapist functions as an agency/community expert in the treatment of complex trauma in the field of human trafficking and utilizes evidenced based and/or promising practices as the preferred treatment modality. The professional is expected to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team while making appropriate independent decisions for the benefit of the client(s). Therapist conducts trainings as an expert speaker in trauma treatment of human trafficking victims at conferences, trainings, and outreach events for community groups and service providers.

Under the supervision of the Project Life Program Associate Director, is responsible for providing comprehensive case management services to victims/survivors of human trafficking through a client driven wellness and recovery model that is strength based, culturally relevant, trauma informed, consumer driven, and outcome based. Case Manager participates in law enforcement operations and 24 hour emergency response to the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force and other law enforcement entities. Assists community members and partners with identification of human trafficking victims, providing immediate in-person outreach, assessing their emotional and practical needs. Comprehensive case management includes providing information about crime victims’ rights, crisis stabilization, safety planning, law enforcement,

The person in this position will lead the CJR in establishing and maintaining a centralized clearinghouse for human trafficking related research in the San Diego/Tijuana region. (50%) This position is also responsible for developing and sustaining effective management of CJR grants, including identifying new sources of funding and grant writing. (50%)

Anti-Trafficking & Victim Services Caseworker

POSITION SUMMARY
IVAT is a non-profit mental health clinic providing a range of trauma-focused services. The Client and Billing Assistant will provide administrative support for the IVAT clinic, including scheduling, billing, and client account maintenance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This role will be responsible for supporting clinic operations through direct client contact regarding scheduling and billing or payment information. This includes the management of sensitive and confidential client information and data.
o Managing the clinic’s online referral system and following up with client referrals to obtain additional contact information
o Being an initial point of contact for clients who are requesting additional information about services or following up on direct client inquiries
o Coordinating with the clinic therapists and supervisors to help with the assignment of clients to clinicians
o Maintaining waitlists for client contacts
o Coordinating with the scheduling of appointments, billing, or other non-clinical related content
o Processing and tracking payments across multiple spreadsheets and client invoices
o Following up with clients regarding payment plans for past due account balances
o Research insurance panels and assist with submitting applications to join preferred provider panels; work directly with credentialing for providers, insurance companies, billing and contracts

Forensic Psychologist
Institute on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma
The role of forensic psychologist will be primarily responsible for maintaining a caseload of forensic cases, including forensic evaluations, forensic consultation, and expert services. The psychologist will receive training, oversight, consultation, and mentorship by other forensic psychologists to grow their competency in a wide range of forensic topics and areas of practice. The psychologist will also be responsible for the oversight and forensic supervision to trainees (doctorate students for practicum or internship or post doctorate fellows) assigned to work on the cases with the forensic psychologist. This role will work in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Training to ensure that all trainees are receiving appropriate training, supervision, and oversight of the forensic work being conducted at IVAT. Responsibilities include direct supervision of graduate trainees on forensic work being conducted by them as part of their work with IVAT. This supervision could take place in an individual supervision format or as part of group supervision. As part of the supervisor duties, the forensic psychologist will work with the other psychologists on staff to ensure that all legal and ethical guidelines are being followed by overseeing the work conducted and reviewing relevant forensic reports and documentation. This role may also include providing consultation and trainings to the community on issues of violence, abuse, and trauma, victims, offenders, and children exposed to violence. There is also the opportunity to conduct research and write articles or grants related to the field of forensic psychology, trauma, or clinical psychology and related topics, and to the mission and vision of IVAT. IVAT will be primarily responsible for provision of case referrals; maintaining and providing appropriate testing materials, office supplies, and office space needed for the provision of professional work; provision of trainees to support in the professional work.
