About the role
A Home Lead is appointed at one Supported Independent Living home and manages a team of between 4 - 9 Disability Support Workers. The purpose of the role is to manage the team to provide the required support and management and transform the lives of residents.
You will be employed on a Permanent Part Time basis but the hours are an average of 76 hours per fortnight.
Skills and experience
Minimum requirements
Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support or Aged Care or equivalent with vocational experience sufficient to satisfy equivalent RPL / RPK requirements.
Minimum 2 years experience within the health, care and/or disability industry.
Ability to apply standard policy and operating procedure.
Demonstrate application of listening and negotiating skills.
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
Effective communication (written and verbal), teamwork, initiative and enterprise, self
management, planning and organising, problem solving, effective negotiation, and

Nursing Training and Assessment Officer

As the Training and Assessment Officer you will be responsible for delivering engaging training programs to staff working with people with disabilities, to ensure the desired patient outcomes are achieved. Reporting to the IT and Quality Manager, you will assess the training needs of staff to develop and implement appropriate training programs that are captivating, contextualised and memorable.
This is a Permanent Part Time Position 15.2 hours per week.
About the Role:
As the Training and Assessment Officer your responsibilities will include:
Conduct induction training regarding the administration of medication, care plans and manual handling.
Orchestrate specialised training programs in accordance with the appropriate training needs.
Develop relevant training and assessment material.
Develop and implement a manageable training schedule and calendar.
Review participant care plans and identify training needs.
Develop training policies, including online.
Identify and respond to the learning needs of individuals.
About You:
Minimum 5 years’ post-grad experience.
Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
Qualifications in OHS / Disability / Community Nursing would be favourable.
Confident and articulate communication skills and ability to build rapport with learners.
Experience in developing, implementing and assessing training programs.
Well organised, with demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritise workload, follow up and work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
Capabilities shown in the support and coaching of others, with a sound knowledge of adult learning principles.
