Faith Formation Coordinator
Epiphany Cathedral
Overview:

The Coordinator of Faith Formation will plan, implement, oversee, and evaluate various components of Epiphany faith formation programming. This faith formation programming will embrace the Holy Spirit in a manner that seeks to invite all involved to be passionate, lifelong, Catholic disciples of Jesus Christ! Major position responsibilities and regular activities.
Job Responsibilities:
• Administer catechetical programs: Faith Formation in Grades K-8, including sacramental preparation (Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Communion, Confirmation).
• Providing digital resources (primarily via formed.org) to parents that parallels the content their children are embracing at an adult level.
• Develop plans and implement for the recruitment and training of catechists and volunteers.
• Collaborate and communicate with the Director of Religious Education on an on-going basis regarding scheduling and promotion of events related to catechetical programs.
• Schedule regular catechist and volunteer meetings to encourage the development of a catechetical faith community.
• Meet the requirements of safe environment policies regarding Safe Environment Training for Youth
• Attend Diocesan meetings related to Religious Education, Youth Ministry and Safe Environment Programs
• Other Faith Formation programming and/or administrative work as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be a practicing Roman Catholic
• Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education, Theology or Catechetics and Evangelization
• Excellent communications skills both written and oral
• Computer skills especially in Microsoft Office, Teams
• Collaborative/Team player mentality
• Ability to work on scheduled nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of ParishSoft, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, formed.org, and/or Life Teen methodologies are an added plus.

St. Francis of Assisi has an immediate opening for a Director of Pastoral Care. We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to oversee volunteer ministries dedicated to the physical and spiritual care of our parish community. The director supervises and collaborates with a team in establishing goals and implementing programs in pastoral support and care to our parishioners.

The successful applicant will be a Catholic in good standing and have a 4-year degree in Religious Studies, sociology, pastoral ministry or a related field. Two years of supervisory experience is required along with skills in handling situations with compassion and mercy, having difficult conversations with those who are in crisis or mourning, and using excellent listening skills while encouraging and connecting others to God’s love. The director collaborates with the leadership team in building on the parish’s longstanding history of bringing baptismal and ministerial priesthood together in the collaborative vision of Vatican II. Coordinates, recruits, facilitates training for, and

Researches and selects appropriate materials and media for parish use. 

Communicates with parishioners, parish staff, and diocesan representatives on relevant matters.

Stays current with regard to developments or trends in the field of catechetics, education, and ministry.
