Part-time Communications + Project Coordinator
Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre
Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre seeks a part-time Communications + Project Coordinator to assist with the planning, coordination, marketing/promotion, and implementation of the company’s ongoing community engagement programs and two-week NYC performance season (May, 2022). This position will report to and work collaboratively with the Executive and Artistic Directors and liaise with artists, community partners, board members and other key stakeholders. Initial responsibilities will focus on administrative tasks such as data management, marketing, and communications; the latter half of the contract will transition to on-site production work, including coordination of artists, daily schedules, props/costumes, etc.. Successful candidates will be able to work fluidly across multiple projects and departments, and adapt to the needs of a changing work environment.

Guest Choreographer for Trainee Program
Boston Dance Theater
Boston-based contemporary dance company Boston Dance Theater (BDT) announces an open call for submissions from choreographers. The company will identify a choreographer from the pool of applicants who will have an opportunity to create an original work on BDT Trainee dancers during BDT’s 2022 summer/fall season. The commissioned work will be performed in a virtual setting as part of the Trainee Program Observation Week. The selected choreographer will participate in an intensive-format residency. During the residency, the selected choreographer will be provided with 10 three-hour creative periods with the trainees to create, develop, and set new choreographic material. The chosen choreographer will receive an honorarium of $1,000. The top three finalists will be showcased on BDT’s website and social media.

BDT was included in Dance Magazine’s “25 To Watch” list in January 2021.

Under the co-artistic direction of Jessie Jeanne Stinnett and award winning, Dutch-Israeli, choreographer Itzik Galili, BDT is Boston’s first contemporary dance repertory company with international ties at the leadership level. External Affairs Coordinator

The External Affairs Coordinator (EAC) is a new, half-time position reporting to the Executive Director (ED). The EAC provides cross-functional communications and administrative support on fundraising efforts and program offerings to support the ED and External Affairs Committee of the Board.
The candidate will be a self-starter, able to work effectively within a fast-paced, small team environment, and will be motivated to partner with the ED to grow the organizations’ impact and size for the next few years. The EAC position is an exempt position 20 hours/week, with potential to expand.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
• Working extensively within Bloomerang, CAM’s CRM/database—ultimately serving as its primary administrator which includes but is not limited to:
o Support efforts to optimize CRM system, including identifying potential fixes and upgrades, and either lead or support efforts to implement adjustments
o Update constituent records, enter gifts, interactions and event registrations
o Perform data clean-up and importing as needed
o Build and maintain reports and analyze data
o Support stewardship efforts and coordinate acknowledgements and correspondence, event invitations, appeals, etc.
o Prepare materials, briefs, and other items for donor and prospect meetings
o Oversee correspondence, including donor acknowledgements, bulk mailings (annual and campaign), mail merge, and personal letters generated by staff, board, and committees
• Execute integrated communications initiatives to promote CAM’s visibility and reputation at the local and regional levels
o Develop and execute a media plan
o Produce announcements, press releases, and other campaign and program communications with input from Board and Staff, consistent with brand identity, and build relationships with media outlets
o Maintain and grow social media accounts including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and create communications for CAM’s website and newsletters

Teatro ECAS is the leading Spanish-language theater company North of New York City.
The company will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary Season in 2022.
Teatro ECAS is looking to hire an energetic, experienced theater and/or marketing professional to be responsible for the driving of earned revenues.
Reporting to the General Manager and under general supervision, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the marketing, public relations and sales aspects of the theater.

Single ticket sales campaigns: in print, periodicals, radio, TV and social media, the MBOM drives all potential customers to the website and online order system through targeted communications. Group sales solicitation.
Box Office management: Learns the new Teatro ECAS CRM system, AudienceView and becomes principal staff member for CRM administration, set up, updates and problem solving.
Press and press releases: communicates with press inquiries. Writes and distributes press releases in English and follows up with the press on publication, with the intention of garnering preview articles and reviews. Builds and expands the existing press list. Communicates with Latinx groups in the Providence area for audience development.
Social Media and e-marketing: Working with Artistic Director and Graphic Designer, develops content and basic layouts of email communications from a frequency of once a week to once a month. Twice weekly or more attention to facebook page, twitter and Instagram. Develops human interest stories. Photographs rehearsals and classes.
Desired Skills and Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and to collaborate as part of a dynamic team.
- Sense of humor.
- Some Spanish fluency helpful, but not essential.
Full time, 35 hour per week position with generous benefits including health, dental, paid time off and paid vacations.
