Postdoctoral Researcher
US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
The Small Mass and Force Metrology Project at NIST is currently looking for postdocs who are interested in optomechanics in dynamic force sensors, or in metrology in general.

The optomechanics work is generally similar to the subject matter in these papers: creating small mass and force metrology standards for AFM, nanoindentation and related techniques using photon pressure forces as a reference.
http://scitation.aip.org/content/aip/journal/apl/105/23/10.1063/1.4903801

Another project involves using precision electromechanical balances as a means to measure optical power using photon pressure forces, and has more of a precision engineering focus
https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9358228

Finally, there is a big project right now to redefine the becquerel, and this requires the measurement of a milligram quantity of mass. We are designing and constructing a liquid dispensing balance to deposit a known mass of a liquid reference sample onto a superconducting transition edge sensor. This has more of a metrology/precision engineering focus.

The postdoc is open to non-US citizens, however US citizens are encouraged to use the NIST NRC postdoctoral fellowship process (more info in the link below.)
