Perform specific coaching and instructional responsibilities during athletic events
- Develop a comprehensive and functional knowledge of the sport and maintain a thorough and continuing familiarity with all applicable University, Landmark Conference and NCAA regulations
- Attend coach’s preparatory meetings and implement strategies resulting from these meetings
- Ensuring that all appropriate safety guidelines and standards are maintained during training and practice sessions
- The potential ability to scout and recruit quality student-athletes under the guidance and direction of the head coach and coordinate recruiting activities with the head coach and with appropriate departmental personnel
– Work closely with athletic training staff to ensure safety of all student-athletes

Potential candidates must abide by the rules, regulations and expectations that come with competing in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
Specific coaching and instructional responsibilities during athletic events include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement comprehensive knowledge of the sport and maintain a thorough understanding of all University, ODAC & NCAA regulations.
- Attend and be after in all coaches’, staff & University meetings. Be responsible and professional in every aspect of the position.
- Ensuring that all appropriate safety guidelines and standards are maintained during training and practice sessions.
- The ability to recruit and retain quality student-athletes under the guidance of the Head Coach.
– Work closely with Administrative staff and personnel to ensure safety of all student-athletes.
- Represent the program in the highest honor in all aspects: personally, professionally and socially.
