Specifically, the position is for the newly funded project iCODE: Adaptive Training of Students’ Code Comprehension Processes whose goal is to develop and investigate a novel education technology iCODE (improve source CODE comprehension) that targets code comprehension, a critical skill for both learners and professionals . Job responsibilities include among others the following: participate in all aspects of a large-scale educational technology with an emphasis on research, development, and implementation; lead the research, design, and implementation of various components of a dialogue-based tutoring systems including but not limited to dialogue manager, semantic interpreter, question generator, student model, and domain model; help with the design, implementation, and data analysis of various experiments needed to fulfill the mission of the project; interact with members of the project team, supervise graduate students, publication and presentation; evaluate, install, and maintain software packages; and administer the computing infrastructure.
