Code Compliance Inspector - FOrestry
City of Greeley The Forestry Code Compliance Inspector is primarily responsible for code compliance related to tree care. Duties include, but are not limited to, responding to requests for information by the public and investigate complaints, tree inspections and evaluations, tree inventory assessments, hazardous tree identification and presentation of case information in an administrative hearing. Prepares, maintains and executes code violation notifications and organizes related records. Processes work authorizations with private property owners and coordinates with tree contractors. Responsible for processing applications and organizing the annual Share the Shade and Emerald Ash Borer planting and treatment programs. Also involves some planting, pruning and manual labor. Operates a variety of motorized equipment, hand and power tools. Occasionally supervises hourly staff or volunteers.

NFS is seeking enthusiastic, qualified applicants to join our team of dedicated staff working towards improving the health, resiliency and sustainability of Nebraska’s trees and forests. Providing direct, technical assistance to stakeholders, the Forester (focused on providing forest management and other rural forestry technical assistance) will play a key role in providing the resources necessary for clients to achieve their tree and forest goals.
