Climber/Groundsman
A Better View Identify potentially hazardous trees and other tree related problems. Repairs, cables, and prunes tree and other woody plants; removes dead, diseased or declining trees and woo... dy plants. Drives company vehicles in compliance with MTO guidelines. Preforms daily vehicle inspections and reports to Owner any defects. Oversees/conducts jobsite tailboards. Assist in various maintenance activities as required. Make sure all safety protocols are being followed. Face to face interactions with crew members and customers. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent oral and written communication skills
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work involves considerable exposure to outdoors (e.g. rain, snow, extreme heat/cold, dirt, dust, exhaust.) also different terrains (e.g. slippery, rough, rocks, roots, hills, cliffs, holes, water etc..) Fueling equipment and vehicles. You will also be mixing fuel with 2 stroke oil to 50:1 Loud noises.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Strength Guidelines Extensive physical activity requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. • Motion Parameters As a tree climber/bucket operator you will be required to use full range of motion repetitively, sometimes in awkward positions. You will also be required to be able to climb, stand, walk, squat, kneel, bend, lift, reach, push, pull, drag, carry. • Vision and Hearing Requirements You must be able to judge distance and read road signs while driving. You must be able to judge distance when in a tree and cutting • Psychological Demands You may be expected to make quick decisions, supervise workers, problem solve, and read or write.
