How to reconnect children with nature?
Climbing trees and getting muddy knees are memories from childhood we all treasure. But they are memories many children are missing out on.

“…children are disappearing from the outdoors at a rate that would make them top of any conservationist’s list of endangered species if they were any other member of the animal kingdom.” Tim Gill, British play advocate in The Ecologist.
Children grow healthier, wiser, and more content when they are more fully connected throughout their childhood to the natural environment in as many educational and recreational settings as possible. These benefits are long term and significant and contribute to their future wellbeing and the contributions they will make to the world as adults.
Therefore, we should all be working to help a new generation of children discover the outdoors.
