In addition, the LAP-DHH Specialist will serve as an advocate by presenting and explaining assessment results, presenting all education options, and giving recommendations to local school
districts, early intervention providers, and parents during IFSP, IEP, and transition from Part C to Part B meetings. This position will require travel throughout Kansas and may require overnight stays. Requires flexibility in working hours. Applicants do not need to live in the Kansas City metro area to be eligible for this job.

Additional duties may include providing consultant support and resources to families who have children who are DHH Ages 3-21 and the service providers who work with them. Duties may also include presenting at and participating in training and conferences. This position will support the outreach team in evaluations and observations.

Required Competencies:
● Hold valid licensure as an Early Childhood Special Educator, Early Childhood Unified, Teacher of the Deaf, or Speech-Language Pathologist.

The Audiologist is responsible for providing hearing services for patients of all ages in a private medical setting. Services include diagnostic evaluations for both pediatric and adult patients, vestibular testing and hearing aid evaluations, fittings and adjustments.
Responsibilities include:
Administers and interprets comprehensive diagnostic testing
Recommend additional testing, hearing aid consultations, or preventative measures, such as custom earplugs, as needed.

Order and program hearing aids prior to patient’s fitting appointment.
