One Colorado The Development and Communications Manager will play a critical role in supporting One Colorado’s mission by managing and implementing our communications strategies and supporting... fundraising eorts. Reporting to the Chief Development and Operations Ocer, The Development and Communications Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing external communications, creatively integrating fundraising strategies into communications, working closely with program directors to ensure programmatic communications objectives are met; providing leadership and guidance to the Communications Team, and ensuring that communications infrastructure and processes allow for fast response to a quickly changing landscape.
This role is both strategic and tactical, requiring the ability to think big while minding all the details. The Development & Communications Manager must be a relationship-builder and a savvy project manager who is comfortable setting up systems and juggling multiple projects, and creatively connecting the dots between fundraising, communications, and programming. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, and an accountable team collaborator. They must be passionate about work for fairness and equality for the LGBTQ+ community, including a lens for racial, economic, and transgender justice.

Job Duties: Contracts & Grants Research and identify grant opportunities for program and general operating support, matching Garden State Equality with foundations and corporations. Manage grants calendar, ensuring proposals and reports are submitted on time throughout the year. Extensive writing – letters of intent, grant proposals, concept papers, and reports. Work with the development team and Program Directors to create and submit financial reports to institutional funders. Ensure accurate and effective systems for tracking grant funds and reporting to agencies. Interface with funders – along with Development Director & Executive Leadership. Major Gifts/Individual Giving Work with senior leadership and staff to steward major gifts
