JOB SUMMARY
Nine Star’s Case Managers (Work Services Specialists) provide support to Alaska’s Public Assistance recipients to ready them for employment. They provide work readiness activities, connectivity to community resources, career plan development, “get ready for employment” activities, work skills training, and more. Ultimately, the Case Manager’s objective is to move job seekers to economic self-sufficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
Possess an Associate’s Degree in Human Services or closely related field and two years experience in Social Services or a closely related field. (4 years of direct case management experience may be substituted.)
Have a minimum of one year related teaching experience.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and FileMaker Pro.
Adept at working independently as well as with team members.
Hold excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

This position falls under the guidance of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to provide employment and/or education services to at-risk youth aged 16-24. The Youth Employment Specialist will also recruit employer partners to provide vocational training to the youth. This position will be based at Wasilla, Alaska inside the MYHouse building at 300 North Willow.

DUTIES:

Maintenance Technician - Part-time

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to assist with the general day-to-day daily maintenance and repair of the Museum’s electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems. This position will also provide support to all areas of the Facilities department, including painting, appliances, furniture, vehicles, tools, and related equipment, as well as shared emergency maintenance response on or after hours, and on-call rotation. General Duties

Main Duties
