Intensive Family Preservation Therapist

Job Duties:
-Conduct in-home counseling visits and case coordination to clients and families at the frequency and intensity consistent with their higher level of need, with a limited case load size.
-Conduct client-driven, trauma-informed, family assessments across the family’s life domains, including safety assessment/planning, mental health symptoms, and relationships to establish therapeutic goals.
-Manage accurate and timely case documentation by electronic records and submit weekly progress summary in accordance with Compass’s contract requirements.
-Therapist shall be available for consultation by telephone for emergency situations as they arise. Services will include multiple in-person direct contacts and indirect contacts (e.g. emails, text messages) with the family each week.
-Build and maintain positive relationships with personnel from referring/collateral agencies, guiding families in their interaction with such agencies and other community organizations as needed; provide referrals to services and resources on behalf of families.
-Provide a Discharge Summary and recommendations for each family/individual at conclusion of services.
-Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling/Social Work
Must be a Licensed (LMHP), Provisionally-Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nebraska
Trauma informed experience or education preferred

Compensation:
$21.00-$22.00 per hour, dependent on education/licensure/experience.

Family Specialist

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Support, equip, and educate parents on how to effectively care for their children.
Work with the family as a unit to develop positive interactions, communication skills, family activities and appropriate family structure.
Assist parents in understanding and meeting the developmental needs of their children.
Equip families to build strong relationships, bonding and nurturing within their home.
Assist families by providing skills for maintaining a sanitary living environment, acquiring employment and housing, managing a budget and accessing community resources.
Coordinate and provide supervised visitation between parents and their children while maintaining safety and promoting healthy relationships.
Complete all required services documentation and regular communication with the Children and Family Services Specialist (CFSS) and Family Team.
Attend and participate in team meetings and staff meetings to ensure program growth and excellence.
Participate with professionalism and excellence as part of the larger Family Team (legal team, caseworkers, therapists, school personnel, foster care, etc.) to meet the needs of children and families being served.
Communicate and meet regularly with the program supervisor to ensure excellence in service provision and to monitor case progress.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum or 2 years experience in human services is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related area is preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to manage a complex schedule.
The position demands a candidate with high energy and the capacity to meet changing demands and deadlines.
Flexible hours will include evenings and weekends that are convenient to families and the needs of the program.
