Technical Project Manager
Arizona State University (EdPlus) This role works closely and collaboratively with stakeholders and project vendors (domestic and international) to plan, direct, organize, and execute against project requirements; identifies and acquires necessary resources and coordinates efforts by all parties to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes in accordance with sponsoring source's expectations. This function involves managing and coordinating with all technical vendors contracted for the project. This position reports to the Director Mastercard Foundation Digital Initiatives, Innovation and Emerging Initiatives.
Baobab is an online learning platform that currently serves over 9,000 young people from Sub-Saharan Africa providing them with access to lifelong learning resources for professional and personal development. This is a Ruby on Rails web and native Android application that integrates with other open source web technologies and Salesforce. This project follows an agile methodology informed by human-centered design. Over the next five years we are expanding our reach to support 100,000 young Africans located around the world. Our work contributes to ASU’s inclusive mission, leveraging technology to increase access for all learners, at all stages of their life to build their skills.

The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Organizational Leadership, Applied Leadership, Project Management, Interdisciplinary Studies, and/or Liberal Studies; prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load.
