-Ensure that all safety procedures are followed.
-Inspecting various electrical systems used for heating, cooling and ventilation.

The Maine Tour Connection
The Maine Tour Connection is looking for a cheerful voice and a team player to join our fast paced lively office team in South Portland, Maine. TMTC is a wholesale receptive tour operator that provides motorcoach packaging throughout Maine, New England and Eastern Canada. This position will assist and support staff in a variety of ways. Candidate should have a positive attitude, organizational skills, detailed planning, multi-tasking and maintain exceptional relationships and customer service with clients and vendors.
Full time, year round position Monday –Friday normal business hours.
General Administrative duties may include, but not limited to:
Receptionist for the TMTC team
Data base management of tour operators & vendors
All file management, including creating files, organizing file contents, traces, purging files
Managing & Recording Vendor reservations for all tour components
Manage & distribute in-coming and outgoing mail, emails & faxes
Inventory office supplies and order
Special projects as assigned
Attend staff meetings as scheduled, industry events and tradeshows
Generate correspondence to vendors (reservation requests, rooming lists.)
Contact vendors with menu selections, final meal counts, final counts, changes, additions, special requests
Assist sales managers as needed, obtaining deposits, rooming lists, from clients
Generate deposit due reports from clients and vendors
Skills and qualities
Intermediate Microsoft office, Excel, Constant Contact, Outlook
Detailed oriented, Multitask, flexible and remain organized
Ability to prioritize
Preferred Qualification Experience
Hospitality / Tour Industry preferred but not required
1 + years customer service experience
College associates and/or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have great customer service experience and experience using Toast POS system. A bonus is bartending or barista experience. This position has the potential to continue through the Gardens Aglow event.

This position supports the mission by using local, seasonal, and Gardens-grown ingredients and products to connect our guests to the natural world around them. Team members working in the Culinary department will provide excellent customer service to all visitors, members, employees, and volunteers while also managing a register with the Toast POS system. Team members will also focus on restocking throughout the day, serving coffee, alcohol and ringing in items from the marketplace. Team members will familiarize themselves with the Gardens to help guests with any questions about the layout and offerings.

Seasonal, Hourly, Non-exempt
$17.00 per hour + pooled tips

Assist in daily business operations:
Answer the phone
Maintain reservation system
Interact with customers in a positive and friendly manner
Operate POS and register system
Prepare and clean rental equipment
Assist customers with basic paddling skills
Load and unload equipment on trailer
Deliver rental equipment to local cottages and launch sites
Assist in marketing objectives:
Update social media messaging
Stage marketing photography
Share ideas for marketing events, sales, specials and new marketing project
Assist in planning, promoting, and managing scheduled special events throughout the season.
Essential Functions

The Guest Experience team is often the first impression guests have of Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, and they provide a valuable opportunity to enrich the visitor experience through friendly, helpful, and efficient service.

Seasonal, May through October (with option to stay through December). At least 1 Weekend day and holidays are required.
Part-time hours available (20-32 hours per week) with hours scheduled between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. November through December, shifts are generally scheduled Thursday through Sunday, approximately 3:00-9:00 pm.

$17.00 - 18.00 hourly, non-exempt
