We are seeking either an experienced MACTE credentialed Toddler guide to join the classroom as a Co-Lead or a Toddler Assistant with the current lead Guide.
The Co-Lead will work with our current Toddler Guide in providing a warm, nurturing, and safe environment where self-direction is enhanced, independence encouraged, and individuality respected. The classroom assistant will assist the lead guide in providing this same environment.

Secondary Montessori Guide

We are looking for a secondary Montessori guide with a MACTE accredited secondary qualification to join our team in secondary.
Needs to have strong English and would be nice if the candidate also has Spanish as our upper secondary would like to learn this language.
We are only a very small secondary school at the moment but we hope to grow. Our school has children from ages 18 months to 17 years.
For the right candidate, we provide accommodation, flights at the beginning and end of contract, outpatients medical cover, and we cover all expenses related to work permit and immigration.

Along with a Montessori teaching credential for this age group with AMI, AMS, IMC (CGMS) or other MACTE accredited Montessori Diploma, applicants should hold either a bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education. An applicant that is a dependable, adaptable, and flexible member of staff is a must. Salary will be dependent upon the level of credentials and relevant experience and is in the range of USD $3,800-$4,500 per month tax-free.
The ability to speak Spanish is a plus although not a requirement for this position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced MACTE credentialed Elementary guide to join the growing program as a Co-Lead Guide. The Co-Lead will work with our current Guide in providing a warm, nurturing, and safe environment where self-direction is enhanced, independence encouraged, and individuality respected.
Ideal candidates:
~~Have previous experience working in a Montessori classroom environment
~~Can work well and positively as part of a team; basic computer skills
~~Able to work between 8:15 am and 4:00 pm daily during our balanced year calendar (once hired, applicants can choose to increase base pay by working during our Session Camps)
~~Elementary MACTE credential or Montessori training preferred however applicants in training or willing to complete training should also consider applying.
~~Interest or experience in farming, permaculture, or similar experience is a big plus!
COMPENSATION:
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and other benefits as outlined in the Staff Handbook (such as health and 401k).
ONSITE STAFF HOUSING:
Catskill Montessori School has limited on-site staff housing available. Candidates interested in onsite housing should include that in their cover letter. On-site housing is not guaranteed.
