Climate Office Coordinator

This position is responsible for coordinating programs, grants, and activities toward achieving the mission and vision of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (E... GLE), Executive Office’s Office of Climate and Energy (OCE). Duties include event and meeting management, grant management and administration, office procedures and coordination, and stakeholder engagement activities. This position will provide support to the work of the Chief Climate Officer by coordinating projects and initiatives within the OCE. This position will support and provide assistance to various climate and energy initiatives, work groups, pilot programs, and committees. This position will develop and manage content for the OCE website. This position will conduct and analyze research in order to handle and thoroughly respond to communications and requests from Michigan’s residents related to climate and energy. This position will coordinate with EGLE’s divisions on issues related to climate and energy.

Climate Research Officer

This position serves as the recognized resource for research, program and policy evaluation, and data analysis related to climate change and clean energy policy in the Department ... of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), Executive Office, Office of Climate and Energy (OCE). This position will lead all data requests related to the MI Healthy Climate Plan implementation and report on program metrics and tracking. Duties include collecting and analyzing data (quantitative and qualitative), conducting research and literature reviews, and providing recommendations related to climate and energy policies. The role will include collaborating with relevant stakeholders, such as state agencies, local government, tribal nations, and community-based organizations. This position shares expertise, provides leadership, and is a recognized resource to EGLE and other state and local governments, academia, and the general public on aspects of the state greenhouse gas inventory and metrics related to the goals and commitments of the MI Healthy Climate Plan.
