Director of Human Resources

The Director of Human Resources will oversee the day-to-day HR needs and operations of the organization across three locations (Colorado, Nevada & Utah). Responsibilities include: workforce planning; talent acquisition; performance management; employee relations; employment law compliance; employee engagement and communications; organizational development; and total rewards. The Director delivers these HR activities personally or through direct reports.

This position is responsible for establishing and implementing strategic HR initiatives, programs and practices, as well assessing their effectiveness. The Director ensures compliance with state and federal employment laws and internal agency policies and procedures; advises management on HR issues; and provides technical assistance to managers regarding HR principles, practices, and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• A bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field.
• 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide HR programs, policies, and processes.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Ability to work remotely or in an office location. Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Some travel may be required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• SPHR and/or SHRM certification.
• Non-profit experience.
• Multi-state experience.

• Proven track record of being able to think strategically while designing and delivering programs from a hands-on standpoint.
• Demonstrated effective organizational skills.
