Skilled Vets About the company: The Lead Estimator will be responsible for the development of CSI division and Unformat estimates for both the conceptual estimate and final bid. The ideal c... andidate will have experience bidding for self-performed work (specifically self preformed concrete estimates) and will be well versed in developing working relationships with subcontractors. Duties & Responsibilities Survey and price all self-perform work items including but not limited to; concrete, building specialties, rough carpentry Estimate key scopes on major projects Lead estimates / conduct estimate reviews on small projects for executive management Assist in development of all conceptual estimates for design-build and guaranteed maximum price projects Create and implement strategies to achieve a bid advantage on estimates Identify risk Responsible for making sure a complete scope has been made during the estimating process Follow all company standards and ethics at all times Maintain / develop relationships with industry partners Help with bids for DBB Projects Takeoff and analyzation of self-work concrete estimates Present and communicate estimate scope and pricing to clients Other duties as assigned by management. Required Skills: Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, architecture or construction management or 9 years of industry experience Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. 5+ years experience in estimating on large commercial construction projects Valid drivers license Understanding of UNIFORMAT and conceptual estimating process Experience with software programs such as On-Screen Take-Off, Building Connected, SAGE and Assemble is preferred!
