Operations Associate
Ortman Financial Planning
Ortman Financial Planning (OFP) seeks an Operations Associate for our fee-only financial planning firm located in Bethesda, MD. Your role will be to provide exceptional customer service while assisting with various administrative and operations tasks. This is a virtual position, but with a preference for someone located in the Washington DC area.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Work with Financial Advisor to ensure that all necessary preparations have been made for upcoming client meetings and calls
Coordinate with Financial Advisor for client follow-up tasks
Interact with clients regarding administrative topics (scheduling, paperwork, etc.)
Build-up operations tasks into repeatable workflows in the areas of billing, scheduling, account transfers, new client onboarding, meeting preparation, and meeting follow-up
Manage website and social media content, monitor traffic and inbound inquiries, and build out improvements in these areas
Adhere to our firm’s compliance manual and other rules and regulations as required by our firm and regulatory authorities

Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a professional role
A professional demeanor and advanced communication skills, including strong phone and email etiquette
Independent, with good time management skills
Demonstrated integrity, work ethic, and an obligation to maintain firm and client confidentiality
Familiarity with or willingness to learn industry-related computer programs and proprietary back-office systems
A college degree or equivalent work experience
Familiarity with Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets)
Positive demeanor

Advantages:
Previous experience at a financial planning firm
Experience with Veo One, eMoney, Zapier, or Hubly

Benefits:
$40,000 - $55,000 per year based on experience
Flexible work schedule
4 weeks paid vacation plus federal holidays
32 hour work week
