We have an exciting opportunity for a Water Analyst to join our team to assist in the research, data collation and modelling of ESG data. This is an interesting opportunity for an innovative mind, looking for a career change with previous experience in academia, research, consultancy, and direct exposure to the mining, sustainability and/or water sector.
Reporting to the General Manager – Skarn Water, you will:
• Seek to continually improve skarns data visualisation files, modelling worksheets and overall flow of information.
• Help conceptualise and implement refinements to the Skarn Water Model.
• Interact with clients (e.g. Mining companies, Fund Managers, Asset Owners, Technology Providers, Consulting Companies, ESG Agencies)
• Assist with update of production and ESG data with clear references to relevant data sources and summary of assumptions in the analysis.
The ideal Candidate has a technical academic background: Mineral processing, Chemistry, Hydraulics, Environmental Sciences. The candidate is expected to have:
• Exposure to water management in the mining industry, including development and evaluation of water balances.
• Knowledge of technical unit processes in mining operations
• Exposure to ICMM, GRI, WAF, CDP water disclosure reporting
• Data research and good Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to generate time trend models and distil information into key indicators that can be assessed.
• Language skills: English (primary), additional language skills for document analysis is desirable (e.g. Spanish, French, Russian, Chinese)

Intermediate to Senior Water Balance/Water Quality Modeller

Your Key Responsibilities

· Water balance/water quality modelling using GoldSim software, other water modelling experience is an asset

· Preparation of technical reports and development of proposals to Stantec’s quality standards

Senior Water Quality Scientist

You will apply your technical expertise to support clients with projects affecting freshwater, estuarine, and marine environments that must comply with various provincial and federal regulations and policies.

Senior Hydrologist (Full-Time Permanent)

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Senior Hydrologist is responsible for providing technical input in hydrogeology and design, and report on hydrological studies. This includes design and field implementation of surface water monitoring networks, management and QA/QC of hydrology data in specialized software, and development of project water balances.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide senior hydrological technical input to projects throughout Ensero;
•Design and field implementation of surface water monitoring networks, management and QA/QC of hydrology data in specialized software, and development of project water balance;
•Work closely with field leads, meteorologists and project managers to integrate hydrology data collection and management with other project objectives;
•Design, installation and maintenance oversight of hydrometric monitoring networks/stations and surface water discharge monitoring for open water and winter conditions;
•Mine water balance models, mine water management plans and water management infrastructure designs;
•Baseline hydrological characterization programs and associated modeling;
•Rating curve development and processing of automated water level data;
•Development of catchment and/or process water balances;
•Design and oversee hydrological field programs;
•Hydrologic data management expertise (Aquarius hydrological software);
•Lead special projects that support the broad-based needs of a rapidly expanding company;
•Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development opportunities for water specialists and junior staff throughout Ensero; and
•All other related duties as required.
About You
•Bachelor’s degree in a related science (hydrology, environmental, natural sciences).
•10 or more years of related work experience in hydrology;
•P.Geo. or P.Eng. accreditation or eligibility an asset

Process Engineer
Integrated Sustainability
Your extensive process engineering and design experience in industry and/or consulting, as well as your project and team management skills will allow you to take a leadership role in a challenging and dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate small to large sized teams and projects with water, waste and energy as central concepts
• Undertake and oversee detailed data characterization and analysis
